UX Designer / Developer
A UX Designer at FE is a holistic, multidisciplinary person who is primarily responsible for the design of FE products' user interfaces, defining their form, behaviour and content, ensuring coherence and consistency, combining usability with visual design.
With a vast product line, FE's requirements on the UX front are very important considering the wide variety of the user base - from independent investors to professional fund managers across a wide demographic. You will be required to ensure that requirements from varied sources such as key management stakeholders, product owners, design, development, SEO, advertising and marketing are collated, addressed and implemented as efficiently as possible.
The UX designer will be required to work closely with all aspects of the business, right from key director level stakeholders to the implementation teams to address the requirements successfully from the user experience perspective. You will also be working to create product specific requirements, basing your UX decisions on scientific, proven design principles as well as data derived from current usage. Your recommendations will then be used to improve the usability of the product and ensuring that it is implemented with best UX practices.
One of the key requirements will be to ensure that you will overcome design and implementation challenges that may arise across the business, coordinating effectively with multiple departments. You will also work to ensure that there is a healthy balance maintained between the best possible usability implementations, business requirements, FE core technologies, including Microsoft technologies such as .NET / Azure and Single Page Applications based on AngularJS to ensure that the product design effectively helps users address their requirements.
? Strong understanding of design and UX principles, including UX and responsive web design patterns.
? Knowledge of usability testing, task analysis, visual interface design, user research, user modelling with personas and scenarios, product-level interaction design, interface design and information architecting.
? Wireframing tools.
? Rapid prototyping tools.
? PowerPoint and Visio.
? Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, XD, Illustrator, etc.- optional).
? Ability to create user testing experiments (A/B/n/Multi Armed Bandit) and use web analytics to focus on better UX decisions.

Key Roles & Responsibilities:
? Conduct detailed data-centric research on the market, products and users to assess the best possible user experience.
? Build personas, scenarios and case studies to best approximate product user requirements, problem areas and possible design solutions.
? Create user interface, interaction and visual design through wireframing and prototyping tools.
? Envision and construct information architecture and content strategy to maximize usability.
? Present ideas and research effectively to all key stakeholders to gain buy in for proposed changes.
? Work closely with management, development, design and SEO to align and implement their requirements with UX ideas.
? Build testing strategies and data collection & analysis systems to facilitate user testing and evaluate effectiveness of proposed and implemented solutions.
